I'm using a trial version of CS3 Bridge and last night while going through some folders, I found that I was unable to rotate images in the slideshow mode and also rate them. Other folders, it worked fine on. I am on Windows Vista and have previously worked on these images in CS2 Bridge and XP.

Thoughts?

To rate try holding down control and hitting the number key - not sure if it'll work but worth a go it works sometimes. There's a preference about having to hold control to rate there too. I never used slide show mode so not really sure.

Hi Tim,

thanks, yeah I've tried that too. Not working. It's working on some folders but not others. I think it's an issue with the metadata/cache. totally frustrated.

i tried that. didn't work either. i'm totally perplexed.

here's more info:

folders sit on external drive that used to be hooked up to another computer using CS2. PC/XP OS

Images were processed in CS2 Bridge.

Now opening in trial version of CS3 Bridge. Will not rotate in slideshow mode, or rate. PC/ Vista OS

I'm also having trouble with PS in batch resizing images from RAW to JPG. I have set up an action to resize, and am applying it to a folder. Instead of just reading the raw file and saving at "as is" in JPG, it is opening camera raw and wants me to apply changes. That's how I did it in PS CS2 on my old computer...I'm just saving JPGs to register with the library of congress and don't need to add all the processing.

I've done the following:

updates from adobe
purged cache
removed .xmp files and put into a separate folder to see if they were causing trouble.
rebooted
ate some chocolate
