Strap Yourself In

Well, I shopped around and decided to buy a Nikon. Hand strap for the 1D (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=RetrieveSku&IC=NIAH4&Q=&O=) that is. Sucker is $60, real leather and I didn't know if it was going to fit the 1D Classic. But folks, it's like a soft leather golfing glove with straps. You strap yourself in to this thing and the camera ain't coming off till you let it. It's a perfect fit for the 1D body and worth every penny, and I can say that after owning it for 30 minutes. :)

A little more expensive but much nicer than the E-1 strap.

I got this one (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/194967-REG/Hakuba_KGP01_Camera_Grip_PH.html) an love it.. Actually I have two of them for the $$ of the Nik*n, but you will love having a wrist strap. Congrats! :)

I was looking for nice. No one had an E-1 around this town for me to try first, but I had read a few articles about the Nikon one and decided to go for it.

Joayne, that one looks like it supports the wrist better. Is it fast to put on and off? I might have to try one of those when I get the Mk2. ;)

And I'll tell ya, I already love this one. I might just sleep with my camera tonight. ;)

Careful sleeping with your camera, you might roll over on it an smother it :)

I think it is easy on and off. It has a pinch buckle and then the wrist strap velcros around your wrist. It screws into the tripod mount and then has a place for the tripod to screw into the screw that screws into the camera... Well that is clear as mud! There are customer reviews on Amazon.. I like that it goes around your wrist not your hand.

This one feels good, very solid feel to it when you tighten the strap. Yours looks like a good one too. I might get one for the old D30.
