I have been shooting series of night pictures of the sky (no telescope) Manual mode, F 2.0 and T 8".
Now I would like to merge or "add" some series of the same zone to get a better quality image. Do anybody know how to it with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7.04? I tried creating new layers with a copy of each picture but I wasn't able to get it "added" (ORed)
Thanks in advance

Hi All!
Have you tried in PSP Images > Arithmetic > Add.
I think it does the same thing like image stack.
Only I have not experimented with this.
Notes:
Adding two Pics at a time,is it the same like adding the lot at one time ?
I suppose it could be the same Picture which can be duplicated, you do not need to take several Pictures.
Any thoughts?

I'll give it a try, although I already own Image Stacker. Thanks, I'll keep you posted

Bahri,
If you use only a single picture you will also multiply all the noise in the image...that's why you need several different images shot from a stable source.

Here is another description of a photoshop method:

It was also discussed in a later thread that if the layers are to contribute equally the opacity of subsequet layers should be 50, 33, 25, 20% etc.
