After being careless with my new 400d, i have noticed a few blemishes on my pics.

Whats the best way to clean the sensor, and how do you go about it?

i have seen little air blowers, and some pads on a stick, what are the best options?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Forum rules would normaly dictate that I should answer your question, but I think it's best if you click the "Search" button (at the top of each page) and enter "sensor cleaning" and press enter. You should get 199 results covering cleaning your sensor!

There are many, many arguments over the various methods, read the answers - and take your choice

Try a good air blower first, after setting up the camera to open the shutter for you. If that doesn't get it, and eventually you will need to wet clean it, I bought the copperhill kit with the Pek pads, little brush, plastic pekpad wand and bottle of alcohol. Their site has a tutorial up, just follow it and you'll be OK. Once you have done one wet cleaning, your going to wonder what the fuss is all about. It's easy and it works. :)
