I used the standard Sport button, that is great for outside sports.
Now i want to use the Custom 1 (C1) to use for indoor sports.
Which ISO setting is best 400/800/1600
I want to use all servo.
Does anyone has any tips?
Is there a site with custom settings from professionals you can download for your own camera?
Thanks Martin

I would think the iso settings would vary depending on available light and the final effect you are after.

The sports setting only raises the ISO to 400, not enough for some sports and definitely not enough in low light sports.
If you're shooting inside and you want to freeze the motion, you'll probably be shooting above ISO 800. In the gyms I shoot I'm always between ISO 1250-3200.

What FSTOPMIAMI just said ^^^^ , it will depend on the available light, same as shooting anything else really.
WELCOME! :-)

I agree, Gym lighting at the HS level is terrible.

Here's a link that might help.
How to set up exposure in manual mode for a low light situation.

Or shoot AV mode--center focus point only--AI servo--and adjust your ISO to get a minimum speed of around 1/250 second.
Hope one of these makes sense.

I want to shoot Indoor track, running events. I have a canon d40 and i'm using a 28-135 lens. The lighting is good. What settings should I use?

First, get the camera on back button focus on the AF-ON Button ( use cfn 4-3 or 4-2)to separate the exposure from the focus. That way in AI servo when you press and hold the AF-On button the camera will continually track focus and you half press the shutter to lock the exposure and take the shot.Personally when things are moving in and out of shadow I prefer 4-2 as the exposure is set when the shutter is fully pressed. You will need a shutter speed of around to 1/500 or higher to stop motion. If you had a constant aperture lens it would be easier to shoot in Manual ,just set the shutter speed and ISO to give the correct exposure as the lighting will be constant .As you dont you can use either aperture priority or shutter priority but set the ISO high enough so that you have either a high enough SS at your chosen aperture in AV or you are not above your max aperture at your chosen SS in TV.
Shoot in burst mode ,RAW and either set a custom white balance or use a grey card so you can adjust the white balance in PP.Just be careful about the lights as if they are mains powered they will pulse and your exposure will be all over the place due to this, hence another good reason for shooting in bursts
