I have enclosed a picture of my studio layout so far, I want to know if you have any recommendations, for the beginner photo editor, on any additional equipment that you consider a must have.

existing equipment is:

Computer 1
P4-2.6, 1 gig ram, nvidea 256 mb graphics, mouse, wacom graphics tablet
HP Phot0smart 1000, DVD burner, 21" monitor, windows 2000, Paint Shop Pro 8 for now, hope to get something better later.

Computer 2
This machine will be my future webpage server
P3-866, 256 MB ram, ATI 64 mb graphics, mouse, CD burner, 17" monitor, redhat linux operating system

Actualy, on a serious note, since it looks like you plan on spending some time in front of your comps, and so sitting down having a good ergonomic desk chair is very important.
The ideal is a set up where all your joints are set at about 90 deg when your working.
