So today before i went to work i took my newest and bestest camera out for a walk in the woods.

I walked the full circle of the woods with zero signs of any birds, so i figured i'd just get back and shower up so i wasnt late to work.

On my way back off in the distance i saw a hawk soaring and swooping in a field not too far away.

This has happened to me before and i took my sweet time and missed out because he was gone.

This time i decided to sprint my butt off to the field, there is a path of sorts along the creek that runs through the woods. This same creek where many ducks and many geese even have scared the poop out of me as they flew out because i scared the poop out of them.

I get close enough to where i didnt want to scare the hawk off so i start to walk again. I'm about 100 yards from the field when i'm scared poopless as this massive object shoots up into the air not 15 feet from me.

I look left to see a crane flying up into the trees. 10 feet away from me...a crane, when i'm happy enough just to get a decent photo of a red tailed hawk.

I see the crane land again back into the creek about 100 feet in front of me, i slowly walk up on him hoping i can get a shot...he hears me again and flys off into the trees.

By the time i got to the field where the hawk was, he was long gone.

Depressed and annoyed i head back home when i come across the old dirty aquaduct that my friends and i always hung out around. I took a seat with my feet dangling 10 feet above the dirty smelly creek taking a trip down memory lane hoping that maybe a blue jay will come fly by. And it did, and so did its friend. They saw me and promptly flew off. It was fitting of my mood, as was the setting. Because in the end, i came home with nothing but garbage.

You must become one with nature, young grasshopper...

Oh forget it. Jerry's got my pebble anyway.

Go shoot baseball. They play every day don't they?

Or lacrosse. :)

Let's view from another perspective.

- If it's too easy to take the photo, what will be the fun?
- You've already located the birds and get close to them. You were succeed to some extent.
- Even you didn't take any shots, you've seen the beautiful creatures. Is it good?

BTW, why did you go to take birds photo?

I'm new for shooting birds. The keeper rate is extremely low but I'm still happy for the above reasons...

Yeah, that is annoying.. I've learned, that you should not, under any circumstances follow a wild animal (specially anything with wings) in order to get a good shot; by the time you got where you wanted to, it had already moved away, like a rainbow. Or something. As a bonus you might have scared like 328 other animals to flee in panic, like timmyquest skillfully did :D.

This weekend I'm planning to just sit somewhere in a forrest the whole day. I assume this way I'll at least have a chance to capture something other than 'justabird', 'justatree' or 'justarock'. Wish me sunshine!

I'm gonna try and get up early tomorrow (no work or school) and sit at a bend in the creek where i can see a few hundred yards straight down stream. I'd think i could get something
