I was checking out Digimarc's website and was curious on how many people are watermarking thier photo's?
Who would do it and why? Is it useful or a waste of time?
One thing that I thought was handy was the fact you can insert info to direct people to your website.

The Digimarc does very little to stop your image from being copied. I have done a ton of work on security with images. http://www.wood-apple.com/foto.htm

Mark,
Your examples images were well-protected all right. So well-protected that I couldn't even view them - just a little "can't display graphic" icon. :eyes

the only thing i can see wrong with your methods is that it is still quite easy to get a copy of the photo using the embed method. Simply take a screenshot, and then cut out the section you want. Even with the scrolling text/apple, it is easy to get the entire shot by taking several screens and combining them in photoshop...
