While trying to take a shot of the candy factory, this older fellow struck up a conversation with my wife. He was telling his story about his time in Vietnam.

Taken with my 30D w/EF-S 10-22 mm lens (only lens I had with me)

Good street shot Tom, though I feel it would be better if the feet weren't framed out. Is your wife filipina?

I tried not to, but I only had the 10-22 & was trying to get close enough to see them w/o getting to much of the background. Still need to practice with that lens on people shots. My wife is from Thailand

His face looks like it has some character. The 10-22 can be a really fun portrait lens and this vet's face could have been interesting too. Thanks for posting!
