HI everyone, I took a seminar from Scott Kelby here in hawaii and realized I really need to be DELETING all the crappy files after I do a photo shoot. He recommended that we delete straight from the disk all of the rejected photos. So I did that in Lightroom and my harddrive still shows the exact same amount of space left. I must have deleted a few GBs of images. Any special trash setting that I need to look at? My trash on my mac book pro is currently empty - I can't figure it out.
Thanks

1) Did you empty your trash can on the OS?
2) LR and most other cataloging type apps have "remove from app" and "remove from disk" or something similar. Make sure you're using the right one.

I think it only gave me the option to remove from catelog of remove from disk and I chose to remove from disk. how do I empty the trash on the OS?

If you have images marked as rejects you can delete them by choosing Photo/Delete Rejected Photos from the menu. A window comes up, make sure you choose Delete from Disk.
You said your trash on your Macbook Pro is currently empty - then the trash on the OS is empty.

Ignore my comment about the trash, I didn't see this line. Fuzzy eyes.
