Your pictures are too large in relation to the 800 pixel guidelines.

You seem to have a good eye for composition, but bad luck for colours which are drab.

The airplane in No.1 can be PP'd out, but the sky is dead, and it's too late for autumn colours.

I like the framing of the distant tree in the tree/stone opening.

In the spring/summer/early fall at one of the golden hours, these both could be very good.

I agree with this, remember where you took these shots and go back at a different time of year.

I have been pondering the after-foilage (a lack of) color issue for a while. Since I can't get interesting colors where they are none, perhaps converting to B&W might make more sense? Do you think these work better? BTW, I love the idea of returning to the same places at a different time (with different gear and different levels of experience) I kind of started doing it and it opens up many creative and self-reflecting opportunities. God I love this website and all of you for honest opinions and advice.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2316/2151204906_c07ea681bf_o.jpg

BTW, I like the plane because I didn't know it was there until I downloaded the picture and saw it on the screen. It's just to cool of a coincidence not to keep it. LOL
