hi there, i was always interested in macro photography, and i recently picked up my first camera, (10D) and for x-mas i boughtthe tamron F2.8 90mm macro lense i've had my eye on for a while.

here's the first pics with the new lense, two of my sister-in-law's engagement ring. please, C&C is welcome! thanks!

u have set your fstop to f3.5..top one works kind of ok but the bottom one dont.to narow dof..congrats with your new set up..go find some bugs..;) most of us shoot at fstop 8-16 shutter speed 200 iso 100-200.

welcome to macro. not too bad to start. just keep at it. and like MJ says should increased your f stop some more though and some lights.
