which one 1DmkI or 20D

i can't decide which one to get. i really want to get into sports photography and the 1D would be better for it but the 20 D does look pretty good. and it's a lot newer camera for less money. what are your guys opinions?

What kinds of sports photography? Do you need to invest in lenses first?

Other then MP and a Good Noise performace, without any doubt the 1D MKI. I'm sort of in the same boat as you are and done quite a bit of research, the 1D is still faster, has better features and is pretty damn rugged.

The 1 series are built with a much better life expectancy in mind.

For me, I'm probably going to get a 10D and eat through it in 6-8 months and upgrade to a MKII after saving for it.

By the looks of your lens list though, I would be more concerned about my lenses then my camera.
