A little product shot I did of my Canon camera's and lenses... The image is much better viewed large (http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2154769690&size=l)to show more detail.

All this gear goes into my Pelican 1614 hardshell case which acts as kind of my camera gear repository, where I pick/pluck what specific gear I want/need and I then put it into one of my Crumpler camera bags. Click here to view (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fensterbme/2153123494/)a larger photo with a listing of what's all in the case.

... finally that Pelican camera case above is one of four Pelican's that I will pick up if I have a location shoot (along with a few other misc bags). I also have two lighting cases and a power/grip case. You can click here to view (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fensterbme/2152333137/)a larger photo with descriptions of what is all is there.

Don't get photographing all your kit, get that in Canon brochures but your Flickr portfolio is superb.

Very nice. I feel like your reflection of the lenses is really distracting though. The first look at your large version made my eyes hurt :(

Why shoot a product shot of my gear? To see if I can do it and if I can figure out how to pull it off. I find a great way to improve my photograhy is to find images I really like, try to disect them and recreate them or just simply try to shoot the work you would like to get. I'd like to get studio/commercial and product photography on the list of what I can offer clients.

Thanks for the kind words about my portfolio, it's a work in progress...

I actually toned down the reflections in post processing a bit (they were crazy over powering), but I'll agree with you they are still a bit distracting. I want some reflection, just less... Even though many folks love the gloss reflection I think I'm with you on this... thanks for the feedback.

ego...
Seriously? Do you know my motives, my personality, etc.? For someone who from your web site and your icon looks to be into spirituality and mysticism so also seem to be into snap judgements about people.

I actually didn't do it for the ego at all, the main product shot was taken for the reasons stated above to PETERSYMES, the other shots I created because I have people ask me almost daily "what do you shoot with", "what do you use" type questions so I decided to try to provide answers. I'm actually not all about the gear at all.... I'm about what the image says and speaks to people, it doesn't matter if it's taken with a $10 Holga, or a $45K Hassy multishot.

Be good to have pictures of your gear like that for insurance purposes as well.. Nice collection.

i'd prefer to see cameras with lenses on them instead of the lens mount cover.

i'd prefer to see cameras with lenses on them instead of the lens mount cover.

I wanted to have a single line of all of my lenses, and since at this time I don't have duplicates of a single lens so I just put the caps on the lens mount. I can see how that could be a good shot....

Maybe I'll have to get a duplicate lens or two for a shot like this..haha. Actually I'll be likely getting doubles of one if not two of those lenses (the 24-70mm and 70-200mm) and another camera body as my wife is starting to shoot a lot more with me.

...thanks for the feedback.
