Sorry, but I'm jealous. :mrgreen:

Actually, all I want to know is if I can use the Sigma 1.4x extender on my Canon 100-400L IS and still get AF, or do I have to do this contact/taping thing that gets mentioned all the time ?

not on a 10D, you will not have AF

Actually with the Sigma T/C you might have AF.

The reason that you don't get AF is the canon T/C's tell the camera the effective aperture after using the tcon. I don't believe the sigma does this.

I'm sure someone who actually has the combo would be the best person to answer,
