My RAW files range from 7.2 MB to 10.4 MB.
I understand that the 20D would benefit from a faster CF card, but I've got a Lexar 40x and I'm not complaining about anything. Perhaps an 80x card would be better, but it's certainly faster than the 10D anyway.
Trash? No.
As good as an 80x card? No.
Will you notice? Not until you get an 80x card.

It doesn't matter. You are going to spend all your $$$ on chemicals and film stuff... You wont ever have ther $$ to get it

Two 512Mb cards are definitely not garbage in the 20D. I'm using a 1Gb Sandisk Ultra II in mine, and that's plenty of space. In RAW mode I can fit about 100, and with Large/Fine Jpegs around 400.
In some of the performance tests I did recently, even an older, slow 256Mb Sandisk card was fast in the 20D, so don't go throwing your 512s away just yet.

10 MB per RAW file. Harsh! But I'm sure that I'l handle it. :)
