These are the last photos I took in 2007. A pair of Northern Shovelers were very cooperative posers for a few minutes.

Gorgeous colors! The red reflection is totally different than most duck shots and really works well. Hopefully you can find them again in another month when their colors really come in. Most are colored up now down here. Might be juveniles? Regardless, these are wonderful shots, especially the first.

Thanks for the comments. I love these ducks they are very colorful and really have a bill on them. I was also wondering if these were juveniles they seemed a little on the small side to me.

FYI- These photos were shot at ISO 1600 with a MKIII, 500 mm F4 lens + 1.4 TC.
