I took these pictures of my daughter. I am learning portrait photography so I would appreciate your honest critisism. Specially interested in what you think of the lighting.

i'd say the lighting looks good to me. i might have chosen a different background color. it's a bit too close to her hair color. i thought the poses were fine. all together i'd say good job. :)

i like the bottom 2, love the back lite look. i agree with eric, would look awesome with a white background with her in pink, or a bright color.

Yes, I agree with you guys. I made the mistake of buying some 52" wide backgrounds and they are just not wide enough except for close up portraits. The black one is the only one I have which is 104". I am going to order a couple more of different color.
