Hi guys, I am shopping for ultra compact DC and I need some comments on the following models from you guys. Budget is not a big problem.

SD800IS
SD850IS
SD870IS

Which one do you recommend and why? Thanks for your help.

If you want wide angle, the SD850's only 35 mm. equiv., the other 2 reach to 28 mm. equiv. None of them offer any direct control over shutter speed or aperture.

SD800 is nice! So is the 850 and 870. It depends on what you want. Like Jon said, 850 = no wide angle so rule w/e out based on that. If it rules nothing, next is do you need a3" screen or not? Working at CC I've tried all and I had the 800 for awhile. They all take great photos, it's more preference in wide angle and screen.
