It originally came from a classic movie - " The Treasure of the Sierra Madre " with Humphrey Bogart . But it usually misquoted.

Yeh! But I go back to some of the first white people who came over from the UK to Australia. In fact one of my ancestors was the lady who had the first white baby in Tasmania. She was also the first white woman to set foot on Tassie soil. It was suppose to be the boat captain's wife, but the crew didn't like her much. So they brought my great-great-great etc. grandma across on a boat before the other lady. LOL

I was impressed with that first one (despite the fact that the vid mixer gets distracted from the hits to put in bad TD dances) UNTIL they started playing footage from video games. I mean, WTF?!

And why don't some of these guys seem to strap their helmets in?

I'd still take the rugby tho. These guys seem to have about a foot of padding on their shoulders. And they don't stop the game every time someone takes a hit in rugby.

In australia a "thong" is this:

You have to remember that golf clubs in those days were simply a collection of individuals who would play together - courses as we know them hadn't really been organised.

Anyway - where is LR? He has been awfully quiet of late.

He's around , he popped into another thread the other day . I think he's busy doing reviews on all those new Sigma lens  !

Probably made up some story to keep people off his back (so the theory goes).

I think they might be distant cousins!

Notice LR is still steering clear of this thread though!

So what needs to happen for a mod to actually delete a thread?

I am just curious.

The Legend of LightRules will live well beyond the span of this thread and POTN. There will be a book, a movie adaptation of the book, even a TV spinoff show of the movie. There will be a commemorative monument built in his (dis)honor. It will be taught in history classes. And future civilizations will debate whether The LightRules ever truly existed at all!

They won't delete this thread. They MAY lock it. But it's too exciting a thread to lock/delete.
