Any thoughts on this one? I took it this morning. It is Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.

I'm trying to get an image good enough to submit to a big Colorado Fall Colors Contest and need you all to keep finding the problems in my photos until I get one that is good enough to qualify. "Let me have it." What's wrong with this image? Is it good enough?

Malok, This shot is a BEAUTY! Great colors and composition. The only slight problem I would mention(personal taste), is that there seems to be just a wee bit too little sky in this shot, making me feel a tiny bit claustrophobic.
I think this photo should do well. :D

I like it, but there are two problems IMHO:
1. The sky is too small (someone mentioned this problem). It must be about 1/3 of the frame. Now it's 1/6.
2. I would like to see the right peak, that is now covered by a tree. If you go a couple a steps to the left you will obtain a better framing.
Regards!

The colors are lovely, however I think the fence detracts rather than adds to the photo. When I first looked at the picture, I saw the fence then my eyes followed it sort of to the fall colors (good thing), then right off the page (bad thing). It doesn't detract from the fall colors, but it does from the mountain in the background. Well, that's my opinion and I hope it helps you :)

Malok,
The fence, while it adds interest, dominates the scene. I would step back and use a longer focal length lens to reduce the percentage of fence. More mountains and sky would make for a better balance IMHO. And if the weather cooperates, some nice white cumulus clouds. (or paste them in with PS :D )
Nice photo.
