ok so about 7 months ago i purchased a mamiya 645af ... recently i found a kodak digital back for it and got it quite cheap... its all used stuff but im rather excited... anyways i come to find out i cant use the digital back on it cus its not the 645 afd.... ughhhh im not sure what to do... try and sell the 645af and get an afd which i really dont have the $$$ for or try and get it converted.... any one have any helpful info for that would not cost me much $$$ .... spending 2k for a little box was hard enough... i need to get this going and for as little as possible
Thanks

See what would be the most economical.

If you do a little research you may have a few options. For one the 645af can be upgraded to the afd by Mamiya (says free for limited time!!), see bottom of this link... http://www.mamiya.com/mamiya-zd-back-product-overview.html#MoreInfo
Somewhere I thought I recall seeing a digital back for the af model, but I can't presently find it.

"Free firmware upgrade for Mamiya 645AF owners
Usually a $429 upgrade (needed for proper interface between the camera and ZD Digital Back), Mamiya 645AF owners can get their camera’s electronics and firmware upgraded to a Mamiya 645AFD. Limited time offer."
I'd give Mamiya a call and see if this AFD upgrade would work with what you presently have. At $429, if the upgrade of parts and firmware allows you to use the back you have, that's pretty cheap.
I've dealt with Mamiya before on questions on my 645 Pro TL and their customer service is very good.
