using same CF in another camera

I am curious as to what would happen if I remove the
CF card from my Nikon CP800 and place it in the G1?
Would it create a Canon folder or keep puttting the
subsiquent pix in the same Nikon folder? Has anyone
tried this?

If you do this you will find a Nikon and a Canon folder and each camera use their respective folders... or that is how it works on mine.

I Use the same cards with G1 & Nikon 950
No problem, I allways empty the cards in the
camera, it seems to make proper directories.
I even have not thought about the different kind of directories.
