How on Earth do you get that close to your magpies?

Some excellent images in here, Norm...

Thanks, Keith, I spent a few years waiting for them to come, and finally they came :D PS - they love cashews, unsalted, but it takes a few years to get them to realize it. Once they do, you can't get rid of them...not that I wish to. Hopefully the Blue Jays will be next. Patience is definitely necessary but it does pay off from my experience. Cheers, and thanks for the comment.

Beautiful shots! Tack sharp, well exposed with excellent detail and colours as always - the downy is my favourite but #1 and #3 are simply amazing!:)

Great series, Norm. I'm always impressed with your shots. You seem to shoot a lot at your feeder, as I do. What kind of set up do you have in your yard. A shot of that would be really nice.

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. I just hope you keep shooting and posting your images for our viewing pleasure....:D

Thanks all, much appreciated!
Bronco, I reside in the Center of Alberta
Ruth, I'll try to get some decent posts with a major focus on the Downy in the near future.
Shirley, I actually shoot in a vacant campground that I have been visiting for about 4 winters now. I simply drive into the campground with a bag of seeds that I either toss on the ground or set in handfuls on an old fold up cloth chair. I never remain for any more than a few hours at most and never leave any seeds or nuts behind (all are natural seeds and nuts, of course).
