Animation images - copywrite?

Hey guys,

Just wondering what the laws are on using the likes of animated characters for promotions? SUch as saying a nemo charater not using the physcial drawing or artwork however your own creation of it?

For example on of the mods here has a avatar of scrat holding a L lens.

Just wondering what the laws are with this?

It's not legal to use an animated character's likeness for your own purposes without the copyright or trademark owner's consent.
