These are miniture cacti.....only a couple of inches high.

Isn't nature wonderful, from something so aggressive came something so delicate. nicely photographed.

Thanks Alby. Yes it is truely amazing. Especially when you also take into consideration that they almost get no water and I always associate flowers with lots of water.

Thanks Dave. I have been wondering the same. I know he said that he was having PC problems and had to try to use his son's. Guess he has not got his back yet!!

I like the last one. We once had a cactii garden. I found out the painful way when we first moved in :(

Thanks Mellowd. It can be a painful experience trying to set up a rockery with these in.:D And if you get pricked by one of these thorns, it can burn for a long time.

I was a kid and we were house hunting, we stopped at one and as kids do we run around causing havoc. I jumped over the side wall without looking and landed straight into a huge cactii garden, barefoot :(
