Worthing looks more inviting than Iceland. I sold my 20D to a Koi dealer, tricky subject to photograph in situ, I would imagine you'd need to isolate them in a tank?

Thanks for the comments everyone- did you try the tips button ? - shows my pole and flash mount in action :)
Toby - yes they normally photograph Koi in blue "show" bowls, I tend to get very wet if I net my Koi many are around 10lbs in weight :)

Surely you have been to Worthing Toby - its actually a great place, a favourtie haunt of ours (we must pop down and see Brian one day  )
Yes, koi are extremely difficult to photograph - I was a koi keeper for some years until we moved house and decided to give up that hobby. They use the blue bowls or blue floating baskets to photograph them, but its not easy with the water reflection and also the koi movement to handle, they are quite a challenge.

I had no idea you were such a celebrity. Awesome video, well produced. If I was channel flipping and saw this on TV, I'd watch it for sure. I can see this being on the discovery channel. The insect world is brutal, isn't it?

Well done Brian! I just ordered my first macro lense, canon 100mm f/2.8 macro, yesterday and am quite excited to use it. It's people like you who really get my hair to stand on end with excitement. Just thinking about the world that we live in, more like the world we live on. So much goes on around us that we haven't the slightest clue and you capture it. Very nice job. Thanks for being a role model to many such as myself.

Thanks for the kind comments (I only saw this Yesterday for the first time) :)
Brian1cj - certainly not a celebrity- just slightly well known on the web macro world - think this came about because of my Flickr gallery.
Dave- If and when I get a copy of the trailer and the full prog I'll send you a copy.

Well deserved Brian! I wish I had your insect zoo :)
Thanks John - don't have to go far to get some shots :) but I am missing some bugs - eg I never get robber flies in the garden or those coloured flower crab spiders and no wild grass meadow for grass hoppers or butterflies (although one of my neighbours nearly gets there :) ).

Well done Brian, very interesting. Glad to see your putting Worthing on the map for more than the average age of it's residents..:)
Having the Southdowns and sea front so close I think It's a lovely place to live but we do have that reputation of being Gods waiting room.

I watched it last night; great stuff. Thoroughly deserved and a real testament to how much effort (and how good you are) you put into your work.
You have really set the benchmark, that hopefully others can follow. A huge well done from me. :)

They seem to have made it private this morning. I have copies of the files but need somewhere to host them.

Why don't you try uploading them to youtube? I think the videos on there are .flv
Unless it goes against copyright, which I would imagine it probably would.
Alternatively, you could try one at this link - seems to be pretty reliable.

Dang...I can't watch these at work (our workstations are thin clients with no flash installed, and I can't install applications, they're locked down tight). They're too big for me at home as well, dang! Going into town on Saturday, might duck into the local Internet cafe so I can view and download them!!!
