Problems with PowerShot S1 IS

Actually camera is working fine. I have problems moving pictures to my computer. Sometimes it does work, mostly not. computer: 700 MHz, 128Mt RAM and windows Me.

I have tried almost everything but it does not work most of the time.

Hey George,
on my S1 I do all my transfer through a card reader or pcmia adapter, very rarely use the camera to pc connection. This seems to work flawlessly. As soon as the pc detects the card ZoomBrowser picks it up and ask me if I want to download new, all, etc and I go from there. I think it is faster than connecting to the PC and you do not waste battery time on downloads. If connecting is the only way you have to transfer files I would try reloading your software and all the basics. Hope that helps a little.

Try "turning off the driver" whenever you are done downloading or have problems. Go to Control Panel/Cameras and Scanners and remove camera from list as soon as you are done downloading.

If you let the camera power down or disconnect it you could have problems.
