I really like it, but the one thing that springs to mind is a lack of contrasting colours in the background, don't know if you had opportunity to move around a little and change the background of the shot.
I think it would look really stunning with a darker background.

He is a very nice monkey, but, I wouldn't have used a flash. It seems to flatten him out too much. Do you have any shots in available light?
