I need a good tripod. I need some help as I am a bit overwhelmed! I am on a budget constraint as I just bought my 580EX II speedlite and my 28-135 mm.

This is the one I am looking at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000FFSDCC/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A17MC6HOH9AVE6&v=glance (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000FFSDCC/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A17MC6HOH9AVE6&v=glance)

The other accessory that they have that goes with it is this::confused:

http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-BOGEN-3157N-Release-Connect/dp/B00009R6FJ/ref=pd_bxgy__text_b?ie=UTF8&m=A17MC6HOH9AVE6 (http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-BOGEN-3157N-Release-Connect/dp/B00009R6FJ/ref=pd_bxgy__text_b?ie=UTF8&m=A17MC6HOH9AVE6)

I dont know enough about tripods to know if I need this.

Can someone help me. I shoot with a Rebel Xti EOS 400D and would prob use my speedlite in addition along with the 28-135mm. I am concerned about weight and it being sturdy enough.

Can anyone help me please?

Claire:confused:

I'd suggest not getting that one. The price may be attractive, but unless you're under 5' and plan to stay that height it will be too short (64" height is with the center column extended to its wobbly 12" or so highest point). If you're trying to keep a tight budget, look at the Amvona tripods on eBay. There are a number of threads on here discussing the various models they offer. Otherwise, I'd suggest the Manfrotto 055XPROB with the 488RC2 head (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/505863-REG/Bogen_Manfrotto__055XPROB_Tripod_Legs_Black_.html) . It's solid and, unless you embark on the super-telephoto adventure, will last you a lifetime.

Then look for something that goes at least 6' fully extended without the head attached. That way you won't need to rely too much on the center column.
