red-bellied w/ some grey?

i know its a redbellied woodpecker but im noticing some grey on top - is that a sign of a juvenile or female - as opposed to the male adult?

Nice shot Troy. It is a female, the male has red all the way forward to his beak. Not sure what the gray is, probably just an individual marking variation.
