Thanks Trevor, Heather, and Sindri. It was a little overcast, so I didn't get as
good of colors as I'd like, but it made it easier to control the whites.

how do you get so close to them? I spent the morning, trying to hide myself every which way, but they never come in range. I swear they have a range finder under their collective wings.
Lovely shots.

Thanks Dennis, Nancy, and EZ.
Nancy, I usually pick a spot on the bank of the estuary with the sun behind me
and wait for them to get "chased" to me. When people move along the shore, or
boats go by they will move to a "safer" place. If Ive been there for a while
they usually won't notice me. I don't wear camo, but I do wear a green jacket
and blue jeans which seem to be neutral enough colors.

Great shot's George. You have some really fine poses here. You'll have to frame those.

Exceptional captures of this tiny duck. The dull light most likely worked in your favour. I spent quite some time last spring trying to get captures of this guy with little success. Congrats.

Spectacular George!! Wow those colors are nice.
I see these birds at one of my sites all the time but they stay far away from us bipeds with tripods.
