Bath Abby was built on the site of the original monastary, where the first king on England was crownded in 500 and something :). The current Abby was buit in 1499 i believe.
The Royal Crescent was finished in the 1700's and is designed to represent the masonic symbols of sun and moon. The shot itself is a stich of 4 landscape shots.
