Wanted: Men

Not that I don't enjoy all of the fabulous and beautiful photos of the female form on here... but I was just wondering--- where are all the men? Seriously, I realize that women photograph well, with their curves and such. BUT, male shots are rare on here. There ARE women (and men) on here who would appreciate it, you know;) So, who's up for the challenge? :)

haha, if pics are supposed to be for critics only (read Pekka's topmost pic), it should not matter who is on picture ;-).
That being said, on other side, those of us who look not only to light and sharpness of a picture are i believe fully agreeing with you ;-)

I just came back from a skiing trip and... well... lets just say that I'm almost ready but not quite ready to ski the half-pipe :lol: Maybe next year.

Thats not what this site is about. Porn sites are a dime a dozen.
Being a male I see no harm in the photographing of men. I'm (where) here to learn. Why does the subject matter? It shouldn't. Women do have curves and bumps and lumps. But so do guys.

While us guys can have (and share) our opinions, how about hearing the female perspective. Is it a peeking six-pack or a square jaw, or...?

I'm guessing it's too hard to define - just like female glam isn't just a lack of clothes. IMO, it's a combination of lighting, poses, wardrobe, accessories, setting, etc.

This thread tends to drift a bit from the "Glamor" side. There's plenty of nude, but rarely glam. That being said, men don't really fit into Glam. The likes of Liz Taylor and Bionce come to mind when I think of women in glamor. Unfortunately, men in glam often drum up visions of Elton John and Liberace. I'd actually like to see that — could be fun. But I doubt it will invoke the same sense of emotion that the ladies do.

There are some men posted by the way. Probably belong in the people thread more than here though. They're not nude or glamorous.

I haven't been in this forum in ages, probably due to getting a bit tired of seeing naked women *gasp*. ;) Seriously though, there are tons of great photographers on here that shoot both men and women very well. But yeah, there are more women being posted, but I guess that's the way it has always been. The same way that the few men being posted usually end up being fairly buff.

On a serious note, the reason I came back to this forum now is because I finally got hold of a guy who'll model for me. So, now I need to come up with ideas!

I would love to.. I just have problems recruiting men models for glamour shots that are photogenic recruiting good male models for glamour?

Not gay or anything but I don't have a problem taking pictures of men because I am into photography for a sincere reason.
I don't need my camera as a way to talk to girls and see boobs and bootays.

Plus guys generally have more $$ to burn than girls, usually the girls that work with me have their boyfriends pay for them.

Client came to me with sample images "ideas" of the photos he wanted. If I could find the samples somewhere I would post them but my shots 10000% kill the ideas he had brought to me. He was very happy and I was very happy when the $$$$ exchanged hands.
