I like #1 best Brian but unfortunately the phartwork flowers don't hit the mark for me. They are nice in themselves as shots but the treatment needs some work I think ;)

Thanks for the comments all :)
sirbridge - was using a 350D and sigma 105 for the flowers but they have been manipulated in PS.

Looks like a physalis to me, the inside you can eat. Looks a bit like a tomato but tastes of orange.

As Alby says it's a slang/joke term for an image that has been manipulated in photoshop to produce hopefully a more arty outcome.

Linda- it's a physalis fruit (rather delicious and packed with vitamin C) I grow them a bit like tomatoes. In the one in the pic the outer covering has partially decomposed leaving just a skeleton - normally you can't see the fruit.

Hiya Brian,

Excellent shots all, but my favorite is that ' Physalis Fruit ' these are a member of the ' Solanaceae Family ' I gota feeling they're also known as Cape Gooseberries ??

BTW this is one thing I've never had the pleasure of eating yet :lol:

Cheers for now

Thanks for looking and commenting JK1,Illusionest and Mark :)

Mark- suprised you haven't eaten these - you seem to have tried most other things ;) :)
Unlike kiwi fruits they actually have some flavour.

Hiya Brian,

Kiwi fruit is one of the most boring fruits ever  much better when sliced up with some nice sharp Strawberries & a twist of black Pepper after Salmon poached in white wine & garlic, mmmmm dribbling just at the thought

Cheers for now
Mark

Hiya Brian,

Nothing much about me is closeted apart from the ol grey matter :lol:

I just love good food, one would think I'd be the size of an Efalump but fortunately I'm not :D probable got something to do with all the ' Wild Foods ' that I've eaten in the past & IBS :lol:

I remember many years ago when I were jus a lad eating ' Bracken Tips ' by mistake instead of eating The Ostrich Fern tips known as ' Fiddleheads ' not a mistake That I'll ever make again Bracken has gota be the fastest purgative ever :o the other thing it taught me was never use Bailer twine as a make shift belt as it snagged up when trying to undo it, say no more eh

Cheers for now
Mark

Brian, great shot of the fruit and skeleton. I'm not sure the flowers pharts work entirely.

Mark, it's not nice to make a man Pavlov for diner prior to lunchtime.
