Hey everyone im taking a trip next week... im starting off spending a weekend in San Diego. I'll then spend the following week about an hour north in capistrano beach. During that week i intend to go up to LA for a couple days to visit a friend.
I know thats a lot of ground to cover, but id love to hear ideas anyone can share with places to go photograph. Scenic, urban, anything really.

A weekend in San diego isn't much time:)
You'll be happy with our 65* weather though compared to MI
There's always the Zoo; which I didn't know was so huge until I started travelling and asking myself "That's it?". The wild animal park is amazing; but with a only a weekend i's not an option.
There's always Sea World
There's a ton to shoot downtown/waterfront..
If you like B/W you can hit Old Town, Shoot old looking pictures and then drink too many margaritas..
La Jolla (La -Hoya) has nice restaraunts and the seal beach is popular for shooting baby seals. You can rent a kayak or 2 and paddle in the caves.
You can take a ferry from Downtown to Coronado and shoot back toward the city at night..
Also don't ignore harbor and shelter islands for city views at night if you have a spare 20 minutes..
If you need more than this; feel free to PM me.

There is San Juan Capistrano.
In orange County, there isn't as much to shoot, as LA but downtown Disney in Anaheim is pretty good.
LA has many stuff to shoot. Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade, Downtown LA, Olvera Street, Griffith Observatory, Getty Center, Getty Villa, and Venice Beach come to mind of the top of my head.
