View Full Version : Linear Sharpen and batching...

So many questions. Were to begin...

1) I tried doing a batch command with Linear sharpen through Photoshops Automate/Batch command. All of the channel mixer options (or any palette for that matter) had to be "OK'ed" instead of automated. How do I fix this?

2) Converting the crw files to linear tiff's using the new version of Yarcplus. Is there a way to set up a hot folder in Photoshop that when an image is placed in the folder Photoshop immediately starts working on it?

My goal is to open up Yarcplus and Photoshop and point Yarc at a folder, come back in an hour and 100 photos have been converted and linearised... I plan on using mininal sharpening in this whole process. I will do that on a picture by picture basis. I just want the bulk conversion as automated as possible.

Thanks

Dave

Dave,

You might like to have a look a LinearSharpenMenu, which is my version (based on the original :) ) of LS342.

It doesn't do exactly what you want because it doesn't include your hot folder requirement. However, you given me an idea, so I'll have a think. :)

LSM does include a zero sharpening option, which does none at all, unlike LS342, where the convert only option does have some USM applied.

Your problem with being asked to confirm is due to the fact that you must have inadvertently checked the toggle dialog on/off box in the actions palette.
