I might give it a shot. What are the odds a teenager with a D-Rebel will win though. :?

thanks for the heads up man, definitely gonna give it a go

Each entrant may enter only one JPEG image into each category.
Please fill out the Web entry form on this site and submit it along with the JPEG images.

One person can submit up to 12 entries: 5 for each category when entering in print (a total of 10 prints) and a maximum of one entry per category when entering JPEG images (a total of two JPEG images).

isn't it a bit unfair for us digital users?

Can't you just print your digital image?

they might ask you for original negatives if you send in prints, that's if your work is good, so they need it for publishing purpose. Unless you can convert digital files to negatives, i don't see the point printing them out.

I don't think so. They are just limiting the number of digitally submitted images vs print submitted images. It makes no difference how they were taken for either submission. You can scan your negatives and submit as JPEG's via the internet or you can send prints. You can print your digital images and mail them or send JPEG's via the internet.

From the site:

" Entries submitted by conventional mail:

How many photographs can I submit?
One person can submit up to 10 photographs in print (5 for each category).

Can I enter photographs taken using a digital still camera?
Yes. You can submit photographs taken with a digital still camera as long as they are enlarged in accordance with the specifications stated in the entry information."

I think I am reading this correctly. You can enter more digital images by printing them - no need to go out an buy a film camera!

that would be the best, but does that mean if you enter by prints that you can't enter by jpeg? or you can enter in both formats to get 12 photos in total?
