At ISO 100, a little over 300, though that number is affected by the type of subject. And the higher the ISO setting, the less shots you will get onto the card.

$137 with 2 day UPS shipping for the SANDISK 2GB card... I thought that was a pretty good deal... With no damn rebates... I'm sick and tired of rebates... Sometimes I have to fight with these damn companies when they tell me that I didn't send them the receipts or some bull**** like that.. I always SCAN a copy of it all right before I put it in the envelope, the form, receipt, and UPC all attached together to show them that they are full of ****... I'm sick of waiting 2-3 months for my money and by that time when it comes to electronics you can get it cheaper anyways... If I spend a few extra dollars now and someone brags that they get it cheaper but because of "REBATES", Think again... Rebates are a good thing.. INSTANT yes, mail in, only if your smart about it... When it comes to electronic stuff like this, waiting for the money, your shooting your self in the foot... IMO....

Yeah, for my 300D, it should be good enough.. I really don't think I will ever need anything that fast... But who knows...

compared to a lessor camera i'm sure it does, however i'm sure if you got your hands on a real fast card you'd see the difference. Thats all i'm getting at.

Im not dissagreeing by any means, but I posted the other day that I filled the buffer in less then 10 seconds with 64 photos and it cleared in less than that. I am impressed with the speed on the camera and my cards are not anything more than standard, slow speed...Dean

Sandisk Ultra II 2GB are $169 at http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10362776&loc=101&sp=1 . I just ordered 2. In a Mark II, they are only .001Mbs/sec slower then the Sandisk Extreme for $369 each.

That price seems a bit too good to be true. $259 would be more like it.
I've never used them, but buy.com has a very low rating at http://www.resellerratings.com.
Buyer beware!

They're less than $185 at Adorama - http://www.adorama.com/IDS2GBUC2F.html
and B&H - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=311828&is=REG

I've been buying from them for years. Read the reviews and you'll see that the problems are mostly related to speed of things and not reliability or honesty.
