Checking to see if any members here are interested in having their Canon off shoe cord extended. It is as per as described in the DIY thread.

I'm doing research on getting parts in bulk for cheap, cause I'm building something else.

Probably the $$$ involved would be something like this

Shipping both ways by you
Extension section 1st foot is a certain price.( Din Plugs Included in the price)
Additional foot is at certain price. (naturally this will be alot cheaper)
Adding connectors to the original cord at a certain price.
And a small fee for doing it. enough for a 6 pack ;)

Includes
3M shrink wrap at soldered connection points
6 wire multiconductor, grey pvc jacket.(trying to hunt around for black jacket)
Din plugs(Currently searching for the lightest one in matt black)
Measurement is done BEFORE the plugs are added.

if there's enough interest, I'll go into more research. Down time is 24-36 hours

I'm in college, and an expensive one too :( so trying to make some pocket money

I'd definitely be interested. Of all the skills and trades I have learned, soldering isn't one of them. Never could get the hang of it.

You will have to consider the cost of buying a new cord if you some how break one though. And make sure you test each one before you start to alleviate blame if one is DOA. You could also sell some already completed on here and on eBay. Just things for you to look into. Good luck.
