Challenge #36 is Time.
It’s been a long time since our last seed challenge, so I am picking “Time” for my turn. It can be a clock, someone in a rush or something with not much time left. Be creative, time is on your side you have one week for your entries. Good luck steve
post untill 6pm 1/15/08
Maximum file size is not to exceed 200k, to be in liine with other contests on this site. Also, please keep the longest side of your shot at 800 pixels so all photos have an equal chance.
Have fun, and I look forward to seeing what everyone has in store.

Just to let everyone know: Maximum image size has been bumped up to 1024 pixels box. I propose that since these are the new rules for the forums, we should be allowed to post at that size in this thread, and Gail can repost if she wants to.

Update:
According to this (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=429917) thread, embedded pictures hosted off-site can be any size (filesize, not dimensions). So why restric this competition any further? Lets stop restricting the filesize to 200kb.

Speed challenge #36 winner is Airfrogusmc’s watch picture even though the clock in the back round is set to a different time.
Second place goes to flo’s old car that has completely run out of time.
Third place is openmatt’s tree rings for its original idea of time keeping.
The rest of the entries were all great. I would like to apologize to wally for stepping on his win last week. Every one got caught up in the lag between contests. Airfrogusmc your up make it a good one.

Congratulations Allen and others.
IMO, a couple things should be done for the next challenge:
-Put the topic in the title of the thread so it reads "Speed Challenge #36--Time" instead of "Challenge #36" Steve, this wasn't your fault. The naming method got changed a while ago.
-Put a time zone with the ending time, so people will know exactly when the challenge will end.

Congrats Allen and others! I apologize as a "mostly" lurker if I messed up the challenge. That is what you get when not following the rules. I do appreciate you all, and the wealth of info and education, I am learning from you though! Keep shooting, as we are. You never know who you are helping out here!

Thanks Ed.
I got one from Canon (CPS) and had it to use for a couple weeks SWEET but I donno if I would give up one of my 5Ds for it maybe add a 1DsMkIII. Waiting to see what the new 5D is like. It just so happened I had the 1DsMkII while one of my 5Ds was in getting repaired. It was just amazing. I sent it on Sat. & had it back repaired in my hands the following Thursday.

Muy cool! I love my 5D and probably wouldn't consider (or be able to afford) a Ds, MKII or III. I'm glad to see that you would have doubts about switching too. BTW...What was wrong with your machine? I haven't decided if I'm going to send mine in or not yet..

So you do. I really only read the first couple lines of the post, as the bottom of it is usually identical to all the other challenges. Sorry about that.
