Well I have my first digital camera. My wife surprised me with the 20D. I have taken a few pictures and most of them are stunning. Now I need to learn to process them in photo shop. I know this is long term learning experience. I have searched the forum, to little avail, for information on getting started.

My question for the group: " Where should I start in learning how to apply photo shop? Are there some websites that would help? It seems daunting to a newbie.

Thanks

There is no shortage of good third-party books on both Photoshop Elements and CS. I suggest you go to a large book store like Barnes & Noble or Borders and look at what's available. You'll probably find one that's written in a style that appeals to you.

This one is good "The Photoshop Elements Book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby.

Congratulations with your new 20D! I wish I had such a nice wife. :D

I also have the book by Scott Kelby and I like it a lot. It's not just a manual that explains all the tools available in Photoshop - instead, it explains how to do useful things from the viewpoint of the digital photographer.
