Ha! Not I! Id be over whelmed with a 16GB one! I have an 8GB right now and if I had another that would probably be just fine for me for a long long time.

Wow, I've just started with my 20d but have yet to see more than 1/8 full on my 4gb card.

I'm pretty sure DPreview got that news mixed up. My man at CES reported two Pretec CF cards at 16 and 24 GB at 333x (50 Mb/s) and a 48GB at 233x (35 Mb/s).

Personally I think that makes more sense so until proved wrong I'll assume my source to be right on this one. I also think the 16GB 333x card is the one most likely to make it into my bag...

Regardless if they mixed up the speed of the cards the size 48 GB for one CF card is crazy at this time for DSLR use. Once filesize from the DSLR's get to 128 mb or bigger it makes more sense with that big cards for cameras. For video camcorders the size is perfect and cf cards are much more reliable than the hd's.

Of course, I completely agree. I'm just saying, ya know.

And if I had a 1Ds MKIII in a safe studio environment I wouldn't hesitate a second to get a 48'er.

um I guess were gonna throw out the frazze "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". I would hate to be that photographer that shot 48g in photos in this current year and have the card fail. Now when the first hand help gigapixle camera is made were gonna need a little bit more then 48g to be where we are now with 5Ds and 8g

I already heard about that huge capacity CF.
Unfortunatelly for me I can't use such huge CF on my 350D (it's limited to 8Go)
But I have to admit that even 4Go is enough for me when I go out.
