Hi!

Here is a Gallery of pictures from a visit to an lighthouse in the Baltic Sea this summer. The Understen Lighthouse is located near the Åland Island that belongs to Finland. I used the Canon G2.

Some very nice shots! I will have an opportunity to shoot a couple of lighthouses next month, so I found yours to be very inspiring.

Great shots.. great light ... I especially loved your full view of the site and the way the sun has caught all of the structures. I also loved the night shots of the light itself.

I was in Camden, Maine, USA a month ago where I think I shared a simialr last hour of light -- although yours may be more a northern latitiude light.

In Camden it strikes the west-facing sides of sailing ships and bathes them in a bright yellow- white glow. Then you can feel a quiet descend.

I fell that again through your pictures here.

Being a big lighthouse fan myself, I really enjoyed your photos. Myself I found http://medlem.spray.se/singo/understen2/un20020024.htm particularly good, but there were many shots I really liked. I guess that http://medlem.spray.se/singo/understen2/un20020007.htm is a perfect photo of one kind of "every Finn's dream" ;-)
