Hi there

I was wondering if someone knew the best place to set up a website to display my pictures. It's currently flickr but i was hoping for something more elegant, like thumbnails at the bottom with larger pictures showing up with a click, the ability to change the background color (black since it shows off pictures better)...something like iPhoto but online, ideally free since im just an amateur and have very very rudimentary programming skills

thank you!

Pay $30-$40 per yr and get some nice place on Zenfolio/SmugMug and other like them.

If you are looking more for a website and not just something like zenfolio then look up Flashpalette is an AWSOME web page design and is very easy. www.flashpalette.com. I don't have one yet but I did upload an interface and have played with it on an off. I just can't get it just yet.. Good luck.

I agree with the zenfolio recommendation, $35 for the basic site(with the $5 discount) in my view can't be beat for a basic, very good looking site. This would be a no-nonsense approach, but it sounds like it would be very good for your needs. When I say 'no nonsense', that's not to say it doesn't have some very good features.

If you are looking for more customization, advanced flash galleries etc. You will need to do more work combining a gallery, web host etc.
