And that rig can still be used, just depends on how you want to use it. For example, Jon Jovic (AUS) uses a partial vehicle rig and his work is exceptional:

I don't know if he would have used masking tape to secure his tripod to his vehicle, though... or at least, you'd hope not if he had anything valuable on the end of it :p

haha, oh man... Thats so funny! Aren't you guys worried about the paint on your vehicles or the risk of your tape letting loose and dropping your cam/tripod to the ground!? I could never take/strap anything to my vehicles!

^wow that rig is freakin' huge! i bet he had to do a lot of editing. the end result looks really good though, and nice car :)

Here's a shot I did with a ghetto rig. Trunk rack + tripod + packaging tape. It turned out pretty decent.
