Yep, another money question

I friend wants to pay me to shoot his sister's wedding, and just provide a dvd with images post processed. I said maybe around $500 bucks. Do you think that's low balling myself even though it's my first time shooting a wedding?

So, will you be doing a $5 job, a $500 job, or a $5,000 job?
If you want to give him a break because he's a good friend, maybe charge $500 to shoot it & charge extra for prints, to let him decide how much the images are really worth to him.

If all you are providing is a disc (no album, no proofs, no calendars, no DVD slideshow, no on-line viewing of their images, ect....) $500 ani't too bad for your first paid wedding gig...

Post processed images can take a long time to prepare (depending on what you do).

think of it in terms of hours (say 30hours) and price accordingly.
