Just got the 20D as an upgrade from a D30. Not takena serious picture yet, but the controls and AF seem a lot better.

I skipped the D60 and 10D as not being dfferent enough from the D30 to be worthwhile. So on current form I should skip the next two and go for another new body in about 4 years.

Then I started wondering, what might the next few generations of DSLR be like?

The 1DSMK2 is already appearing, pixel counts are going up and up. 'Medium' priced models are now getting better AF and metering and control of colour etc etc.

So what else is there I wonder, will DSLRs just get more and more pixels and cheaper and cheaper? are full frame sensors on the way? Any really novel features?

Whatever comes along, as long as the manufacturers keep pushing each other it should be an interesting few years

Anyone care to play a guessing game,
