The "Tip of the Week" on my site this week demonstrates how to use the Photoshop brush tool to whiten and brighten teeth.

Remove stains and give your portraits a bright smile. No need for messy trays or plastic tapes with fizzy chemicals. ;)

Quick and easy!

. . . or you can ask your models to brush their own teeth before the shot. I always carry a spare PS brush to loan out for just this purpose. :)

Nice tip Mitch. I'll have to compare with simply desaturating (partially or fully) colors in teeth which usually looks reasonably natural.

I like Selective Color for whitening teeth. Just use your favorite selection tool to select teeth, then decrease yellow with the slider bar in the whites/yellows/neutrals colors.

Good tip! I've been painting in desaturation too, & I'll give this a try. Seems like it would be a better method.

I've always used the dodge tool and have loved the results. Okay, off to check out the link, thanks!

Thanks Mitch, great link. I've added it to my faves. It's always good to see different ways of doing things in PS.
