Try hostmonster.com or bluehost.com.

Not free but I very cheap. I use bluehost and I love it.

Pbase and Smugmug are only about 22 bucks a year aren't they? That's nothing, IMHO.

I use photobucket for embedding here though if that's all you want.

Nothing good in life is free. However, for a measly $25 ( or $20 if you want to use my referral code C52-TYA-8TZ ) you can get a very elegant, easy to use and easy to navigate gallery at Zenfolio (http://www.zenfolio.com)

Try the free trial account, chances are you'll like it :)

Smug mug isn't free but its blooming cheap!
For the pittance you'd pay for an entry level ( with unlimited galleries and uploads) you get a spam free, advert free zone!;)

Their customer service is unrivalled too:D
and Im not just saying that to get you to use my referral code ;-) - jS8X1Sapu33tY - but you can if you want:D

Go for it;)

cool!:cool::D

I had a local photog ask me all about the same question - and I suggested he give SM a trial. He gave it a look and went with something completely different because he said he was worried that they only pay out when tthe cheque is $500 or more.

He didnt check whether he could just ask for his earnings if it was less. ( he has never yet earned more than a pittance from his photography) Now he has gone for paid hosting witha limited usage amount because he wanted to 'be in more control', but he can't work out how to use the facility because he has no html experience and they dont provide templates...WTF???:lol:

SM is SO easy and does everything - I love it:cool:

You can request a check no matter the amount.

of course - that's what I told him I thought was the case - but I am beginning to think he is averse to the obvious or easy route and suspect he was just cutting off his nose to spite his face:rolleyes: ( a Brit saying;))
